NYSUT "Peer Support Hotline." The hotline has operators who can provide answers, referrals, and empathetic support when you need it. The service is free. For more information, CLICK HERE. For more information or to speak with someone at the Peer Support Line, call toll-free 844-444-0152.
- Reimbursements are done twice a year--June and December.
- The breakdown is as follows: June payment is January to June; 6 months (or less if it’s a new enrollee; determined by their retirement date/effective date on their Medicare card) standard Medicare Part B amount, plus prior year IRMAA (if applicable)
- December payment is July to December; 6 months (or less if it’s a new enrollee; determined by their retirement date/effective date on their Medicare card) standard Medicare Part B amount
New York State Teachers' Retirement System (NYSTRS) - Pertinent information about cost of living, working after retirement, resources and taxes and estate planning.

Medicare Rights - The Medicare Rights Center is a national, nonprofit consumer service organization that works to ensure access to affordable health care for older adults and people with disabilities through counseling and advocacy, educational programs and public policy initiatives.

AFT Retirees - The AFT program on retirement and retirees provides information and advocacy for retired members. AFT legislative and program staff stay on top of key national issues affecting retired members.
NYSED Recertification Information - Information about certification requirements and keeping that certification.
